- A Christmas Carol from the Middle Ages(476-1453)
- Carol Refers to the 12 Days Between Christmas Day and Eiphany
- Each of the “days” represents some aspect of the Christian Faith that was important for children to learn.
- Many have questioned the historical accuracy of its origin.
- When all is said and done, historical accuracy is not really the point.
- More important is that Christians can celebrate their rich heritage, and God’s grace, through one more avenue this Christmas.
- In one more way of the grace of God working in transforming ways in their lives and in our world.

涵義
這首歌的由來，則是起源於16世紀，教會人士為了要傳頌教義而不被當權者壓迫(1558-1829年天主教被禁止)，才寫了這首歌，事實上是12個涵意。
